Welcome to the website of the Jesus Messiah picturebook (JMPBK) project. – Jesus Messiah is the name of a graphic novel of the life of Jesus, the Messiah. The PDF of the books can be viewed online at This is why we love the book “Jesus Messiah.   As sub-title indicates, this book is interested in the prophecies found in the Old Testament which formed Jewish expectations in the first century. The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah by Alfred Edersheim. This document has been generated from XSL (Extensible Stylesheet Language) source with RenderX XEP Formatter, version Client Academic. My name is Dr. Michael Brown. I was born to a Jewish family in New York. As a teenager, after being set free from heavy drug use through faith in Jesus-Yeshua, I was challenged by the rabbis to thoroughly examine the Bible with the goal of finding the Real Messiah of Israel.

The story of the Messiah in the Bible is a complicated one. In the earliest biblical texts, the word originally referred to the present king. It later came to refer to some future ruler, then eventually a heavenly redeemer along the lines of the archangel Michael before, in the New Testament, Jesus is born and the mantle of Messiah falls firmly on his shoulders. The book of Zechariah does not explicitly state that Messiah will come twice, yet we do see two pictures of the king, coming once as a man of peace and again as a conquering king. Without a doubt, these passages should cause one to stop and think.

Steefen November 3, Jesus was the messiah but something horribly went wrong. The wicked tenants of the land (the Holy Land) killed the Son of God. To further demonstrate that Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament, note the following facts, taken from Appendix B of my book Christ Before the Manger: The Life and Times of the Preincarnate Christ.

3 These prophecies — taken together — narrow the field so much that there can be no doubt as to who the Messiah is. Jesus' life stands in sharp contrast to those of the false messiahs, and it is a positive demonstration of what we would expect the Messiah to do.

Jesus worked many miracles of healing, bringing wholeness into people's lives, forgiving sin and restoring relationships. To illustrate this, let us consider a few prophecies that foretold events related to the Messiah’s birth and childhood.
